South Africa: Cry, The Beloved Country!

Next stop? Durban!
Hey, loves! If you’ve been following my journey on Social Media, you know I’ve been on the road, all across america, lately. More on that later!
With that said, hello from Purcell, Oklahoma!

Trying to update on the iPhone because I’m so behind and there’s so much to talk to you about.
We left off at mom’s in South Africa. From there, I headed to Durban by bus. Long ride! About 16 hours! I’d a nice seat towards the back.  Luckily, I didn't have to share it with anyone. The driver came over to ‘say hi’. As I extended my hand, he did something disgusting that I hadn’t experienced since South Africa. He fingered the palm of my hand! That’s something creepy perverts do. Not that there are none creepy pervs!
I was like eeewww! What are you doing? He smiled at me.  He told me he was going to come back and chat with me. I immediately felt so violated. These are the things I don’t miss about South Africa. That sense of hopelessness. Especially around men. It’s not all the time that you feel it. But it can be a thing. Remember how

Family Drama!

I’m in South Africa for the first time in years, having the time of my life! I have my own room, no husband is gonna keep popping in, wanna be start’n sumthn or anything! The rest of my family still had no idea I was in the country, so we started with mom. I called her from my sister’s phone to confuse her.
Mom picks up,

Africa! I'm Coming Home!

Traveling light! NOT!

It's been too long! I'm finally going back to the motherland! Tickets are booked! I already have most of my stuff in suitcases. I weighed and weighed and weighed my luggage pieces. Everything was more or less in order. I took a bunch of things from my eBay store to sell to my people back home. People had been asking me to either sell things online to them and ship to South Africa or to bring them stuff when I went back home. Well!

Fool me Once!

Shipping for my eBay store
One of the things I love about living in America is that I don't need to go all the way to The Post Office, which is always within a 1 mile (20 min) walk, so not back, but I can always just pay for shipping online, print out my label and put the package in the mailbox for the mailman to pick it up at no extra charge. Wow, that was a long

Hashtag Blessed

Enjoying the fruits of my work. You're welcome!
I was feeling so skinny this particular morning! This was around the same time, I had reached more than 100 lbs weight loss. I went and tried on a bunch of clothes, some of which had never fit me before and guess what? They fit! Case in point

Weightloss | Apartment Search | Celeb Spotting | Food

Down more than 100 lbs
This was taken the day I exceeded my goal of dropping   lbs. It was a big day for me what with everything that was going on around me. It's always nice to see you're succeeding in some aspects of my life.Pro Tip: Set small goals for yourself, so that as you are constantly reaching them, you've constantly got something excited. You want to always be in that positive zone in general in life. Don't you? The weight loss journey is no child's play, so, do whatever it takes to stay afloat emotionally.

Just as I was celebrating my  pounds weight droppage, I got booked to be on a show about weight loss. I still can't believe how all that happened. They wanted to

Keeping Calm and Carrying On

With my husband, Calvin trying to get me deported and his constant yelling at all hours of the day and night and then apologizing 24/7; I still had things to do! For as long as I am still in this country, and still alive, I better make something of myself! Right? I buckled up and kept driving. Above was my first time at the Disney Studios in Burbank. I must say, I was kind of overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude when I set foot in this location that morning around 5/6am. I was playing a parent of a cheerleader in Code Black. I worked with Boris Kodjoe, I have a funny story about him,
